By 2030, approximately 5 billion people will live in cities. Faced with overcrowding and scarcity the cities of tomorrow will need to work even harder to provide the basic needs of their inhabitants. How, then, can cities prepare for rising populations? How can cities become smarter and greener, relying on less energy while providing for high-tech solutions? How can culture and design contribute to the enhancement of well being amongst the population?
