Ms. Noella Coursaris Musunka is an international supermodel and founder of the Georges Malaika Foundation.
Ms. Musunka founded the Georges Malaika Foundation in 2007. GMF is a US-based non-profit organization whose mission is to unlock the potential of African girls through educational opportunities. Ms. Musunka and her team of non-profit and private industry professionals are determined to build a school for 300 girls in Kalebuka, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and have already sponsored 16 young girls with full tuition, uniforms, meals and school supplies for the 2008/2009 academic year. All the team members work purely on a volunteer basis, donating their time to the Foundation.
Ms. Musunka has been an international advocate for education for young African girls. She has addressed UNICEF and the Congolese Parliament in regards to issues that confront underprivileged girls and hopes to spark in the younger generations of Congolese a dialogue and activism that will bring about peace and gender equality.
Most recently, she was featured in the July issue of Italian Vanity Fair magazine alongside various other activists. The article honored her altruism and fearless entrepreneurial spirit.
