Mr. Vladimir Vladimirovich Pozner, is a Russian journalist and political analyst. Mr Pozner is best known in the West for hosting radio programs and appearing on US television and other national networks to explain the views of the Soviet Union during the Cold War. He co-hosted, with Phil Donahue, A Citizen's Summit - bilateral, televised discussions between audiences in the Soviet Union and the US, and Pozner/Donahue, a weekly, issues-oriented roundtable program.
He has addressed HIV in his different media activities including as host of the television series “Time to Live!” focusing on HIV & AIDS issues in Russia and the region. In 1997, Mr Pozner founded the School for Television Excellence to promote journalism.
Today he is the President of the Academy of Russian Television, Vice-President of Metromedia International, Inc. and hosts a two-hour weekly talk show for Radio-7. He has won multiple Soviet, Russian, and American awards, including two Emmy certificates.
