Dr. Linton Wells II Distinguished Research Fellow and Force Transformation Chair, National Defense University
Dr. Linton Wells II serves as the Transformation Chair and a Distinguished Research Professor at the National Defense University (NDU). Before NDU he spent sixteen years in the US Office of the Secretary of Defense, including service as the Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration and DoD Chief Information Officer.
Born in Luanda, Angola, Dr. Wells was a 1967 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, and a career naval officer. He received an M.S.E. from Johns Hopkins as well as a PhD in international relations and was graduated from the Japanese National Institute for Defense Studies in Tokyo.
Recently he has been focusing on STAR-TIDES, a research project on affordable support to stressed populations.
