Ansaf Salleb-Aouissi joined the Department of Computer Science at Columbia University as a Lecturer in Discipline in July 2015. She is also affiliated with the Data Science
Institute. Ansaf received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from University d'Orleans, France, in 2003, after which she pursued her training as a postdoctoral fellow at INRIA, Rennes (France). She was appointed as an Associate Research Scientist at the Columbia University’s Center for Computational Learning Systems in 2006 and served as an adjunct professor with the Computer Science Department and the Data Science Institute in 2014 and 2015.
Ansaf has a broad interest in machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Her current research interest includes crowd sourcing, medical informatics and data science for education. She has collaborated with industry on data science projects including knowledge discovery in geo-spatial data, and machine learning for the power grid.
Ansaf teaches the principles of Artificial Intelligence, one of the four courses offered in the Columbia University’s Artificial Intelligence MicroMasters, offered through edX.
