Charles Keeton is a Professor of Physics and Astronomy and Faculty Director of the Aresty Research Center for Undergraduates at Rutgers University. He studies how gravity bends light and uses "gravitational lensing" to probe the mysterious dark matter that dominates the substance of the universe. Dr. Keeton has published a hundred research articles plus a textbook on astrophysics and a broad-level book called "A Ray of Light in a Sea of Dark Matter". He has received multiple awards for research and teaching, including the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers from President Obama in 2010.
