Kate Maloff is the Executive Director of the World Policy Institute, a New York-based think tank and media organization whose work develops innovative solutions and policy recommendations, challenges conventional wisdom, and creates space for underrepresented voices in important global policy discussions. In her time at the Institute, Kate has more than doubled the organization’s annual budget by developing a portfolio of corporate, individual, and foundation support. She leads business development efforts, identifies partnerships for cross-sector collaborations, liaises with the Institute’s global network of fellows, and advises on publishing and expansion related to its flagship quarterly magazine, World Policy Journal. In 2015, Kate managed the Institute’s expansion to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and oversaw a significant leadership transition across the organization’s boards and senior management.
Prior to joining World Policy Institute, Kate worked on development and communication for the non-governmental organizations Sightsavers International and WaterAid America, and consulted for New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services. Kate holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she concentrated in Political Science and French and specialized in Middle Eastern Affairs.
