Matthew Wittman has 10 years first-hand experience in renewable energy. Since 2005, he has spearheaded CRC's renewable energy investments, including the development, securitization and management of 300 megawatts of onshore wind in Germany and France and the development of Thanet Offshore Wind in the Thames estuary. At the time, Thanet was the world's largest offshore wind project.
Matthew left CRC from 2010-2012 to work as a scientist and co-founder of a venture-backed small scale fusion device.
He has an undergrad degree from Cambridge in physics and a PhD in applied math from Columbia where his work on climate modeling was cited in the 2007 ipcc report.
