Don Thompson is the author of "The Supermodel and the Brillo Box: Back Stories and Peculiar Economics from the World of Contemporary Art", published in the US by Palgrave Macmillan in May 2014. His previous book on the art market, "The $12 Million Stuffed Shark: The Curious Economics of Contemporary Art", has appeared in thirteen languages.
Don Thompson is an economist and business school professor. He has taught strategy and marketing at the Schulich School of Business at York University, Harvard Business School and the London School of Economics, and written on the art market for publications including The Times (London), Harpers Bazaar Art and The Art Economist.
